Welcome back!
Welcome back. Another Thanksgiving behind us...
How was your Thanksgiving?
Mine was great. Except for the travel. O'Hare International Airport at Thanksgiving is an extra special treat that I would only wish on my sworn enemies.
There were no delays on the way in to Chicago before the holidays leading the Sun Times to publish this article. But, they had spoken too soon, and because of the rain and the fog, Sunday night was a traveler's nightmare.
Families traveling home with babies and toddlers, students on their way back to college, old, people, young people...when I got to my gate, they were strewn all over chairs and on every available space of carpet at the gate. My flight was supposed to take off at 8:49 PM. Needless to say, it didn't. When my plane finally touched down in Hartford I was greeted with the words:
"Welcome to Hartford where the local time is 1:47 AM. Needless to say, I'm a little tired this morning. But it could have been worse....

Exact opposite for me. No delays into Chicago before the holidays my a**! My flight from LGA was scheduled to depart at 9:30pm EST...It was delayed until 12:05am. I didn't drawl between the sheets, in Chicago, until 3amEST (2am Central). However, my flight back to LGA on Sunday was bliss. On time, no hitch. So much for honest reporting...
